Tirupati: Former Bhadrachalam MLA Kunja Bhiksham who visited Tirumala to get his grandson’s head tonsured and fulfill the family’s vows, went missing since Saturday night. He was last seen while coming out of the temple after having darshan of Lord Balaji.

Biksham was untraced till now (Monday morning). He was elected to the state Legislative Assembly in 1989 and 1994 from Congress but later joined TDP. Then he again switched to the Congress. In 2004, he unsuccessfully contested on TRS ticket. He and his family members, accompanied by relative Chanda Lingaiah, former MLA, and latter’s family visited Tirupati to have darshan of the deity. However, in the jostling while the family was coming out of the temple, Kunja Biksham got separated from the rest of the family.

He remained untraced for a long time leading to his wife Kunja Venkataramana lodging a complaint with the police. A search to locate the former MLA is on. The former MLA was suffering from some health issues for some time.

When police examined the CCTV footage of the probable areas, they could trace his movement only up to the bus stand. The family is seriously worried about Biksham.
