Balayya Pips Pawan Kalyan As Jai Simha Wins Sankranthi Race

Who is the ultimate winner of 2018 Sankranthi box office? This is the big question doing the rounds. Four films were released during Pongal time and all producers tried to make the most of the holiday season but only one film could entertain the audiences with appealing content.

As it turns out, Nandamuri Balakrishna's Jai Simha is emerging as the winner of Pongal box office. When compared to Pawan's Agnyaathavaasi Jai Simha got released in fewer screens and there were no promotions around the film either. But the positive feedback on the film is helping the filmmakers earn profits. The film seems to have exceeded all expectations from the way it performed at the box office.

Jai Simha was made around a budget of Rs 40 Cr and the film has collected over Rs 25 Cr till the fifth day. It is inching towards the Rs 50 Cr Club in another two weeks. Jai Simha is directed by KS Ravi Kumar and produced by C Kalyan. Nayanthara features as the female protagonist in the Balayya movie.
