Director Trivikram Srinivas' Agnyaathavaasi was released to a lot of fanfare. For weeks on end, analysts, fans and eager audiences kept talking about the film which was released in more than 700 screens overseas.

Agnyaathavaasi was the first Indian film to create a record of sorts in terms of the number of theatres it was released in. On its release day, the film knocked many Hollywood films in theatres off their high perch. Collections-wise too, it has been doing well comparatively.

The Pawan-Trivikram combo has failed to win over audiences with Agnyaathavaasi, as we know. The magic Attaraintiki Daredi created could not be replicated in Agnyaathavaasi.

Pawan Kalyan hogged the limelight in the film, but that could not get the box office going. People expected Aadhi role to change the fortunes of the film, but unfortunately that was not to be the case too.

Despite thenegative talk, Agnyaathavaasi is roaring at the overseas box office. The film has joined the club of 2 million dollar club at the USA box office. There is something to celebrate for Pawan fans at last, especially around Sankranthi. It has become the highest biggest premiere opener after Rajamouli's Baahubali.
