Balayya Justifies Rant, Takes Refuge in Andhra Sentiment

TDP MLA from Hindupur and senior telugu actor Nandamuri Balakrishna sought to justify his abusive rants at Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's deeksha in Amaravathi.

Balakrishna, Chandrababu Naidu's brother-in-law, tried to play down the storm kicked up by his controversial comments saying that he had only expressed the feelings of the people of the Andhra State on being denied special category status by the Centre.

Balayya, who is also Lokesh's father-in-law, was speaking on the occasion of the 100th day celebrations of his film Jaisimha at Ramakrishna theatre in Chilakaluripet. He claimed that he had not made any objectionable comments as being stated by BJP leaders.

It may be recalled that Balakrishna went ballistic at the deeksha held on April 20 following which he attracted a lot of criticism for her personal comments, as did the silence of TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu.
