Arrest Warrant Issued Against Ram Gopal Varma, Producer In Vangaveeti Case 

Vijayawada: A first class magistrate court here on Wednesday issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against director Ram Gopal Varma and producer Dasari Kiran Kumar in a case pertaining to movie Vangaveeti. RGV made the biopic on late Congress leader and Kapu icon Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga but his son Vangaveeti Radhakrishna contested that the movie was unrealistic and hurt the family’s sentiments.

Ranga’s son, YSRCP leader Vangaveeti Radha after the release of the film warned RGV that he would pay the price for misleading movie. Following which he filed a petition demanding action against RGV for hurting the sentiments of his family by tampering with events.

After a month-long investigation, the court directed the officials to file an FIR and register the duo.
