The website of APSRTC website was found hacked on Wednesday.
According to reports, the website had been hacked three months ago, but came to light only today. Hackers made Vizianagaram their base to hack the website, sources say.
It is learnt that APSRTC suffered a loss of over 6 lakh rupees due to hacking. The state transport officials however, assure that the reservation system is not affected in any way.
A case has been lodged regarding this. It is learnt that the hacker is a APSRTC agent. The police has began a manhunt to nab the culprit. Sources reveal that the site was hacked due to the negligence of the APSRTC officials. It may be recalled that the APSRTC failed to take any precautionary measures against hacking even after it faced a similar situation in Rajahmundry last year.
