Harish Rao hits out at Naidu's double standards

TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu stands first in the list of untrustworthy leaders in the country, said TRS MLA Harish Rao.

Speaking at TRS Bhavan on Wednesday, Harish Rao said that there is no comparison to Naidu when it comes to mincing words and breaking promises.

He wondered as to why Naidu had still not made his stance on Telangana clear. "People are confused over the resolution that TDP passed on Telangana in the recently concluded Mahanadu event," he said. He demanded to know why the TDP leaders hadn't pressed the Parliament to pass the Telangana bill during the Mahanadu programme. "TDP has once again betrayed the people of Telangana. It is clearly reflects Naidu's double standards," added the TRS MLA.

Launching a scathing attack, the TRS MLA reasoned that till now Naidu had never made it to the top on his own. "He once got power because of NTR's mercy and second time with the help of BJP. Naidu has no right to keep NTR's photo as he has colluded his party with the Congress," he asserted. Stating that Naidu had mortgaged his party to the Congress, Harish said that NTR's soul wouldn't be at peace because of Naidu's moves.

Rao also demanded to know why TDP hadn't supported the no-confidence motion against the ruling Congress in the Assembly. "It was Naidu who protected it. Isn't it a joke then that Naidu is now slamming the Congress?" he asked, adding, this only shows how much credibility the TDP chief really carries.

"It is shame on the part of Naidu to make false promises by saying his two jobs after coming to power would be to offer loan waivers to farmers and ban alcohol in the state. Wasn't it Naidu who removed ban on alcohol?" asked the TRS MLA.
