Hyderabad: In order to save the skin of the defected YSRCP MLAs, the Andhra Pradesh Assembly on Wednesday passed the Money Appropriation Bill with a voice vote despite the main Opposition's demand for voting on the last day of the budget session.

The Opposition leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy opposing various drawbacks in the Budget said the government misused Rs22,000 crore on various projects and the audited accounts for the fiscal 2014-15 were not shown in the budget. "We opposed the budget on several counts as it was totally unrealistic and full of false claims," YS Jagan said and added that the ruling party wanted to save the defected MLAs from disqualification as the party issued a whip.

The Opposition leader also questioned the government on the misuse of Special Development Funds and raising of funds by the government beyond the RBI norms.

This was the third such occasion the ruling party rejected the Opposition's demand for a division on bills in the budget session which came to an end with Speaker Kodela Sivaprasad adjourning the Assembly sine die.
