AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy held a review meeting on Monday, November 4 on Roads and Buildings. He directed the Roads and Buildings Department officials to identify the damaged roads in the state immediately and repair them on a war footing and release Rs 625 crore for repair works.

AP Chief Minister directed the officials to complete the Kanaka Durga flyover and the adjacent service roads as soon as possible and the officials said that it would be completed by January end.

He also told them to list out the vacancies in Roads and Buildings Department so that a calendar can be released for recruitment in January.

YS Jagan accepted the proposal to connect Amaravathi - Anantapur Expressway to Chilakalluripeta bypass road. Government will develop roads and construct bridges along 3,100 km in the state with the financial assistance of Rs 6,400 crore from the New Development Bank.

The Chief Minster also decided to increase the financial assistance from Rs 6,400 crore to Rs8,800 crore. He directed the officials to include the construction of 676 bridges in New Development Bank project.

He even accepted the proposals to strengthen Andhra Pradesh Road Development Corporation. Chief Minister instructed the officials to replace 3,600 Buses which have traveled more than 12 lakh km.

YSR Congress Party President held a discussion with Anil Dixit, Regional Officer of NHAI on the status of various projects in the state. They discussed mainly on Gundugoolai - Gollapudi - Kalaparru - Mangalagiri roads and told them to complete it as soon as possible. NHAI officials told that the road to Anakapalli - Anandapuram is also being completed on a war footing.

Officials also updated status report on Ongole- Kathipudi national highway. They also explained about Renigunta to Kadapa, Renigunta to Naidupeta, Nellore to Tada road projects to Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

NHAI officials told the Chief Minster that they are ready to sign an MOU on the supply of plastic waste.
