1. Biswa Bhushan Harichandan Is Andhra Pradesh’s New Governor

The Centre appointed Biswa Bhushan Harichandan, a senior BJP leader from Odisha as the new Governor of Andhra Pradesh. So far, ESL Narsimhan has been functioning as the Governor for both Telugu states, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, since the bifurcation of erstwhile AP in 2014. This was stated through an official statement released by the Rahstrapathi Bhawan on Tuesday evening.

Her killer surrendered dramatically to the Sompeta police after a three-year long hunt across various cities by the cops.

Six people were arrested here Tuesday for alleged child-trafficking after 54 boys of Bihar were rescued from bonded labour in different bangle manufacturing units, police said. On Saturday last, the children from the units were rescued and cases under relevant sections of IPC, Juvenile Justice Act and Child Labour Act were registered.
