Guntur: Fire Breaks Out In Tobacco Godown

Guntur: A massive fire broke out in a Tobacco godown in Guntur district in the early hours of Monday.

The incident occurred near the town of Poturai in the Guntur suburb. According to the details provided by the police, fire erupted in the Chebrolu Hanumaiah Tobacco Godown and noticing the flames, the employees in the godown alerted the firefighters immediately.

As per the reports, six fire engines have been deployed to douse the fire. As the fire fighters tried to control the situation, the authorities, meanwhile took preventive measures from the spreading to the adjacent godown.

The cause behind the fire is yet to be known but the losses incurred in the incident are estimated to be huge.
