Amaravati: With YSR Congress Party set to cross 150 seats and TDP’s key leaders including Ministers staring at stinging defeat, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has decided to tender his resignation to Governor ESL Narsimhan even before the official word is out.

As he is stationed in Kuppam, his own constituency, he is expected to send in his resignation by fax to the Governor. However, he is expected to follow it up with meeting the Governor in person as per the protocol requires.

Although the official numbers are expected to be announced only after VVPATs are tallied with votes in EVMs which will carry on the counting process well into the evening, however, the huge difference between seat and vote share captured by YSRCP and TDP makes amply clear that YSRCP is set to register a clean sweep. Most of his Ministers including his son Nara Lokesh, Devineni Uma, Achchanaidu are trailing in Mangalagiri, Myalavaram, and Tekkali Assembly segments respectively.

Chandrababu Naidu who has been projecting himself as a national leader so far will ironically have to live down his party’s complete rout both in Assembly and Parliamentary segments.
