Anantapur: Tadipatri Circle Inspector Narayana Reddy who has been in the eye of a storm for sometime has landed in a fresh controversy. Reddy was heard intimidating a YSRCP agent on the day of polling in Erruguntapalli of Tadipatri mandal. In an audio clip which went viral, the CI is heard threatening the YSRCP polling agent, asking him to abandon his duties and rush to the police station as others had done. The YSRCP polling agent, who has been identified as Kishore Reddy, is heard telling the police officer that there is no one other than him to man the polling booth. However, Narayan Reddy brusquely asks him to go to the police station immediately.

The YSRCP has for sometime been stating that the circle insprector in question has been acting at the behest of JC Diwakar Reddy and his brother, JC Prabhakar Reddy. Even top cops are reluctatnt to take action against the CI, media reports said.

It is pertinent to point out that Narayana Reddy had been kept away from election duties after complaints against him and yet, he became proactive on the day of polling as the audio tape reveals.
