The latest speculation in the Andhra Pradesh political circles is whether actor/politician Chiranjeevi return favours to his brother and actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan? It may be recalled that the Telugu power star had campaigned for Chiru's Praja Rajyam Party before the Megastar merged his party with the Congress. Post his Congress stint, Chiranjeevi has maintained distance from active politics and made a comeback in movies with Khaidi No.150 . With his Rajya Sabha term ending in April 2018 and his comeback into films keeping him busy, Chiru has hardly made a political appearance in the past four years.

His Congress Party membership has also expired and news is that he has not renewed his party membership either. Chiranjeevi has not participated in any of the party meetings in the AP Congress either and has declined to comment on the Special Category Status. Congress president Rahul Gandhi has apparently asked him to continue in the party. If he will do so or not is to be confirmed by the actor himself.

Another speculation doing the rounds is that he may extend support to his younger brother Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena party in the upcoming elections. The bonhomie between the brothers is palpable in film events with both the actors showering praises on each other. With Pawan Kalyan's rising popularity and his road shows successfully endearing the youth, there could be a possibility of him joining Pawan Kalyan in the Election campaign. But a clarity about whether he will continue with the Congress or support his brother's Jana Sena party will be known only after he completes the shooting of his 151st film titled 'Sye Ra Narasinha Reddy', (which is touted to be a Magnum opus period flick). Let's see if Chiru will make a comeback into politics after this movie.
