West Godavari: The TDP leaders continue to show their high-handedness over the YSR Congress Party leaders across Andhra Pradesh. The incident of Tadepalligudem is yet another clear evidence of TDP leaders' assault on YSRCP cadre. YSRCP convenor Kottu Satyanarayana has been falsely implicated in cases along with party supporters for extending a helping hand to the flood victims of Nandamuru.

It is reported that two days ago Kottu had questioned the authorities about the injustice meted to the victims of Nandamuru floods. This triggered anger among the TDP leaders and they immediately started attacking the YSRCP leader. They also complained to District Collector who had come on a visit to Nandamuru and later cases were filed against Kottu and many other YSRCP supporters as well as workers under the instructions of the Collector.

Based on the instructions from the collector Tadepalligudem Rural police filed cases against Kottu Satyanarayana and three others under sections 341 and 323. As if these were not enough, Zilla Parishad chairman Bapiraju demanded filing a non-bailable case against YSRCP leaders. It must be recalled that few days ago Kottu had accused Bapiraju and his supporters of corruption in Errakaluva works.

YSRCP leaders said that unmindful of the severe criticism across the district, ZP chairman along with Collector had pressurised the police into filing cases against Kottu and three others.
