BJP MP Files Breach of Privilege Against TDP
New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Rajya Sabha MP GVL Narasimha Rao today filed for a "breach of privilege" against members of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) for allegedly threatening him of dire consequences after he exposed the TDP government's failures in the Upper House on July 24. The BJP MP spoke during a short duration discussion on Special Category Status (SCS) for Andhra Pradesh.
After submitting the notice to Rajya Sabha Chairman Venkaiah Naidu, Narasimha Rao shared the details of it on Twitter, along with video proof of his complaint.
"Today, I've submitted a notice for BREACH OF PRIVILEGE against TDP to the Rajya Sabha Secretariat for initiating penal proceedings for blatantly threatening me of "DIRE CONSEQUENCES" after my speech in Rajya Sabha where I exposed TDP govt. Submitted video proof of my complaint," his tweet read.
