Vizag Reverberates With YSRCP Demand For Special Status To Andhra Pradesh

Vizag: The YSR Congresss Party's Jai Andhra Pradesh convention demanding Special Category Status to the state received a mammoth response here on Sunday. Thousands of people from northern districts and Godavaris echoed the demand in unison along with YSR Congress Party chief and Opposition Leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who vowed to throw those who are opposing the special status in the Bay of Bengal.

After paying tributes to the late Dr.YS Rajasekhar Reddy at the dais named of Gurajada Apparao in the convention venue Thenneti Vishwanatham Sabha Pranganam in the Indira Priyadarshini Stadium in Vizag, YS Jagan said not a single section of society is living in comfort after the bifurcation. "All these problems are because of Chandrababu Naidu's misrule and massive political corruption," he said and lambasted the TDP for failing in keeping its election promises.

"Farmers' loans are not waived. Dwacra loans are not waived. Not a single youth is give a job. Nor did Babu give any unemployment allowance. Belt shops are not removed. Chandrababu demanded special status for 15 years and he made a u-turn on the issue," YS Jagan pointed out and added that the state is ridden with severe drought. State is bogged down in heavy debts according to CESS, he remarked and lamented that farmers are committing suicides because of the growing debt burden.

All that the Chandrababu Naidu government is developing his own assets and increasing the share price of his Heritage company, YS Jagan pointed out. When the state is realing under innumerable problems, Chandrababu is planning to organize bikini parties in Vizag, the Opposition Leader remarked and said the CM deserved to be put in jail for his dereliction of duty and cheap outlook towards women.

YS Jagan reiterated that only Special Category Status to the state can put an end to the problems of the five and a half crore people of Andhra Pradesh and vowed to continue the movement till the Centre accords it in accordance with the ambitions of people.

YS Jagan vowed to intensify the agitation until it given. “Our MPs can even resign from parliament and we will again enter it only on the agenda of Special Status,” he declared.
