5 Telangana Workers Charred To Death In UAE

Hyderabad: Five youths from Telangana were charred to death and few others were injured in a fire mishap at Dhuam in Abu Dhabi, UAE on October 19.

The incident came to light after Telangana NRIs Welfare Association President Rudra Shankar visited the spot and interacted with the workers.

The fire mishap took place after the workers had their dinner and went to sleep.

One of the injured workers said that the mishap occurred after tube light developed a short circuit and the fiber door of a room caught fire, adding that the fire engulfed in few seconds as the beds were made of foam.

Shankar said that the bodies would be brought back to Telangana soon.

The deceased are Tota Rakesh (32), Bairi Gangaraju (20), Akhilesh (22), Malavath Prakash Naik (29) and Pitla Naresh (25).
