5 Shirdi Pilgrims Killed As Lorry Rams Into Autorickshaw

In a tragic incident, four five persons on their way to have a darshan of Saibaba at Shirdi were crushed to death by a speeding lorry. As many as 15 persons belonging to three families from Nalgonda, Marriguda and Nidamanuru alighted at the railway station in Shirdi and left for the temple in an autorickshah. As they were about to reach the temple, a speeding lorry rammed into the auto, killing five persons on the spot. The other ten members suffered critical injuries. They have been rushed to the hospital.

Among the dead are P Venkatamma (55), Venkataiah(55) and Mangamma (55). The identity of the other two will be known once the injured patients regain senses.
