Mumbai: A 16-year-old boy has been sodomised by 15 minors in Andheri area. The police on Tuesday arrested five members of the group and remaining are absconding.

According to the police, the victim, a Class 9 boy was first raped in 2016 by a friend who lived next door. The rapist shot a video of the act on his cell phone and showed it to his other friends. Later, the neighbor blackmailed the boy for involving in the act with other friends from his school. The neighbor also threatened the boy for uploading the video on social media if he refused to do the act.

The friends from his school took the boy to a playground and raped him one by one. After a few months, one of the accused demanded Rs1100 from the victim, when he refused to give the amount, the accused along with other friends raped the boy on June 26.

Fed up with the torture, the boy lodged a complaint with police and revealed the names of the accused. Police on inquiry found that the accused are the neighbors and seniors in school. The police arrested five members and will produce them before Juvenile court. The police also launched a hunt to nab the remaining accused. The victim was sent to hospital for medical examination.
