‘Krishna Pushkaralu’ from August 12

Hyderabad: The Endowments Department on Monday has officially stated that the ‘Krishna Pushkaralu’ will begin at the sunrise of August 12 this year. The government secretary J.S.V Prasad had issued a notification to this effect. The notification specified that the dates were finalized after consultation with TTD’s court astrologer, Sri Tangirala Venkata Krishna Purnaiah Siddhanthi.

It states that on the night of August 11 at 9:21 PM, the ‘Brihaspati Nakshatram’ enters the Kanya Rashi and the next sunrise was determined by Siddanti as the ‘Muhurtham’ for the beginning of the ‘Pushkaralu’, adding that the ‘Pushkaralu will continue till August 23.
