YSRCP to move private bill on anti-defection law

Hyderabad: YSRCP has decided to move a private bill in Rajya Sabha seeking amendments in anti-defection law. YSRCP Rajya Sabha member Vijaya Sai Reddy will move a private bill seeking amendments in anti-defection law.

During the just-concluded Parliamentary review meeting here on Saturday, YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy met with party’s MPs. They have discussed the issues and agenda for the monsoon sessions of both the houses. YSRCP Rajya Sabha member Vijaya Sai Reddy will move a private bill on amendments in anti-defection law.

Recently Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu has also expressed his opinion on the need to strengthen the anti-defection law. Welcoming Venkaiah Naidu’s opinion, YSR Congress has called for an ordinance to that effect should be passed immediately to safeguard Parliamentary democracy.
