YSRCP chief and Leader of Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been waging a relentless struggle for Special Category Status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh. To intensify the protest YS Jagan ruled that on March 21 the YSRCP MPs would move a no-confidence motion against the NDA at the Centre and asked Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan to support them by urging the ruling TDP to back the YSRCP in its efforts.

Meanwhile, on Saturday YS Jagan flagged off a team of YSRCP MPs, bound for Delhi to participate in the party's protest on March 5 for SCS for Andhra Pradesh. The leaders will stage a protest at the Jantar Mantar demanding the Center to grant special status to AP. YS Jagan called on the party leaders to intensify the protest and not to rest until SCS is granted to the state. The YSRCP chief reminded them that the proposal to move the no confidence motion against the Modi government and the planned resignation of YSRCP MPs was aimed at securing SCS for AP.

Unlike the ruling TDP leaders, the YSRCP chief said that their MPs are ready to resign from their posts for the just cause of SCS to Andhra Pradesh.
