YSRCP tells govt to waive farmers loans

YSR Congress party Central committee member, Konathala Ramakrishna has demanded that the government waive off loans given to farmers. He said this in the backdrop of the farmers facing losses due to the large scale destruction of crops caused by cyclone Nilam.

He also said that the farmers must be given seeds and pesticides at 75 per cent  subsidised rates. "The farmers must be compensated Rs 10,000 per acre," he added. The government must also announce exclusive packages for artisans involved in traditional occupations, he said.
