YSRCP team visits Tullur

* Inspects crops damaged by fire

* Demands inquiry by CBI
* The farms belonged to those who opposed land pooling

YSR Congress Farmers’ Rights Protection committee members which was formed by YS Jagan to monitor the land pooling for the capital city formation, on Tuesday inspected the farms damaged by a mysterious fire.

Unidentified miscreants on Monday set on fire banana nurseries in six villages in the Tullur and Tadepalli mandals of Guntur district where the proposed capital of Andhra Pradesh is coming up.
The committee members including MLAs Alla Ramakrishna Reddy, Pinneli Ramakrishna Reddy, Gottipati Ravi, Uppuleti Kalpana, other leaders Mopidevi Venkataramana and Marri Rajasekhar visited the affected villages and reviewed the situation.
They saw the destroyed banana plantations, bundles of burnt logs, haystacks and plastic pipes used in drip irrigation at the farmlands and spoke to the victims and enquired about the losses.
They demanded an inquiry into the incident by CBI or a sitting High Court judge to bring out the reasons behind the fire mishap which they consider an act to terrorise the farmers who refused to give land for the capital.
