A large majority of the YSRCP MLAs strongly felt that attending the assembly sessions was a useless exercise as the ruling party was killing democracy by not taking any action against the turncoat MLAs who shifted their loyalties from the YSRCP to the TDP. The YSRCP should attend the assembly only if the membership of the 10 turncoat MLAs is cancelled and the Opposition is given adequate time to raise people's issues.

On Monday YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy discussed various issues including the upcoming Padayatra, assembly session and failure of the ruling party to honour electoral promises with important leaders and MLAs of the party. During this meet, the MLAs and leaders felt that the Government should abide by the legislative conventions and give adequate time to the Opposition. The MLAs also said that the sessions, which should have been held in August itself, were deliberately postponed. They said the Government was shying away from facing the Opposition. The MLAs also said that they would abide by any decision that YS Jagan would take on the issue. A final decision would be taken on October 26, when the YSRCLP would meet.

According to senior leader and MLA Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, the final plan of action for the padayatra and the programmes that would be taken up in the other districts during the yatra would be prepared soon and it would be made public on October 26.
