YSRCP stages dharna; MLAs arrested

MLAs from the YSR Congress Party staged a protest  at the third gate in front of the Assembly on Thursday against the price hike in diesel.

Referring to the functioning of the Assembly, the MLAs criticized the government for shying away from discussing public issues and manner in which the Assembly was adjourned. The MLAs  were detained by the police and taken to the Nampally police station.

Meanwhile, YSR Congress party leaders also staged separate protests in many districts, demanding a rollback of the hike in diesel price and cap on LPG cylinders.
