YSRCP Slaps Legal Notice On ABN Andhra Jyothi, ETV and TV 9
Hyderabad: The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) slapped legal notice on three media channels - ABN Andhra Jyothi, ETV and TV 9 - for telecasting news based on a tweet purportedly aired by Enforcement Directorate (ED) naming a shell company and attributing it to YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy without verifying facts.
The three channels claimed that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had nexus with a shell entity including Rajeshwar Exports. The legal notice slapped on these channels mentioned that it is a smear campaign with malafied intentions and hence YSRCP president has resorted to a legal recourse. The notice mentioned that the unconfirmed and unverified news was telecast with the sole objective to defame the leader of the opposition in the AP assembly.
The notice called on the news channels to refrain from telecasting unverified news failing which appropriate legal action will be initiated against the media channels.
