YSRCP MPs Hunger Strike In Delhi Enters Day 3

YSRCP MP's hunger strike for the special category status of Andhra Pradesh entered the third day. Of the five MP's, Lok Sabha member representing Nellore, Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy, has been shifted to hospital after he fell ill on Saturday while the other four MP's are continuing their hunger strike at AP Bhavan in the national capital. Reddy has been continuing the strike from hospital though his health condition is deteriorating, doctors said. He has been advised by the doctors attending on him to discontinue his fast, but the veteran YSRCP leader and member of the Lower House is reported to have said that securing SCS to AP was above everything else, including one's own health and well-being.

Meanwhile, YSRCP cadre is leaving for Delhi to lend its support in large numbers. Partymen wish to express their solidarity with the protesting MP's, who are on an indefinite hunger strike for special category status to AP. The party followers will address a meeting at AP Bhavan to protest against the attitude of the the ruling TDP government in AP and the NDA government at the Centre. Apart from the YSRCP leaders other national party leaders also have expressed their support to the YSRCP MP's.

On the other hand, YSRCP honorary president, YS Vijayamma is also leaving for Delhi today to meet the party MPs, who gave up their posts for the sake of special category status to Andhra Pradesh. She will be also visiting the Ram Manohar Lohia hospital where MP Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy is undergoing treatment.

Other MPs who are continuing with their indefinite protest fast are Ongole MP, YV Subba Reddy, Tirupati MP Varaprasad, Rajampet MP P. Midhun Reddy and Cuddapah MP, YS Avinash Reddy.
