YSRCP MP YV Subba Reddy House Arrested, Stages Dharna at Home

YSRCP MP YV Subba Reddy faulted comments made by Janasena Party chief Pawan Kalyan in Friday’s public meeting at Kakinada

Ongole:  YSRCP MP YV Subba Reddy staged a sit in dharna at his house after police prevented him from leaving home to participate in the dharna in Ongole on Saturday as part of the bandh called by YSRCP in protest against the denial of Special State Status.

A tense situation prevailed when policemen were deployed in large number around his house. They house-arrested him. Subba Reddy lashed out at TDP government for its ‘anti-people’ regime in the state. He faulted the government for trying to thwart the bandh called by the opposition party. He warned the ruling TDP cannot suppress the public anger forever.

Mr Reddy also expressed his anger over the comments made by actor-politician Pawan Kalyan who said on Friday that MPs and MLAs should apply chilli powder to their bodies and fight for the state vigorously . YSRCP MP faulted his comments saying his party leaders had been fighting for the rights of the state with utmost concern. “YSRCP leaders were not elected to the Houses of law with Pawan Kalyan support”, he said.

Meanwhile, Prakasam YSR Congress Party president Balineni Srinivas Reddy was also detained by police at Santhamngaluru cross roads while he was on his way to Ongole from Hyderabad to participate in dhanra. Police shifted him to Kurichedu police station.
