Hyderabad: At a time, when the people of Andhra Pradesh are suffering from a slew of problems, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is creating a hype and is trying to take undue advantage of PV Sindhu’s success at Rio Olympics, it’s nothing but a mere publicity stunt, criticized YSRCP.

The TDP government is involved in Rs 3,500-crore scam in the name of Krishna Pushkaralu, said YSRCP MLA Gadikota Srikanth Reddy, while pointing out that Naidu is playing Sindhu card just to divert attention of people from the gamut of issues.

Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, Reddy said: “Rayalaseema is reeling under severe drought, youngsters remain jobless, common people are facing numurous problems. Naidu’s madness going beyond boundaries as he takes credit for pushkaralu as if they occur just because of him. TDP leaders embezzled public money to the tune of Rs 3,500 crore as only 10 percent of funds spent on creating amenities and ghats on account of Krishna pushkaralu. There’s no sanctity in the way TDP government is organizing pushkaralu except hype and loot of public money.”

Reddy also questioned why Naidu is not reacting to the encounter of gangster Nayeem. “There are several allegations against Chandrababu Naidu that he was behind the Nayeem’s emergence as gangster from a police informer role. Latest news revealing that AP Minister Accham Naidu clearly suggested to settle with Nayeem is just an eye opener on how many Andhra ministers had links with the slain gangster.

Raising doubt about a possible secret pact between AP government and Telangana government, Reddy said: “The cash for vote case was diluted. Naidu is also not talking about Jerusalem Mathaiah. We demand CBI inquiry into cash for vote scam.”
