YSRCP dharna at Nagari on Aug 19

YSR Congress would launch a dharna on August 19 at Nagari in Chittoor district demanding the removal of Nagari Municipal Commissioner and the false cases being foisted on the party leaders besides taking up the matter with the Governor, DGP and other concerned officials.

“The Nagari Municipal Commissioner has been behaving in a rude manner and failed to discharge his duties and many cases are pending against him while no action was taken as he has political protection from TDP leaders while YSRCP leaders are targeted and false cases were foisted against the husband of Nagari Municipal chairperson and others,” Party MLA RK Roja told reporters.

There is no protection for women, college students, DWACRA group members as TDP has been misusing official machinery and police to settle political scores. We will meet the Governor, DGP and other officials and bring the issue to their notice, she said.

The Municipal Chairperson (YSRCP), her husband and I were not at the place where it was stated in the case and it was a false case foisted to harass Party workers and leaders with malafide intentions, she said adding that they will not be cowed down by such incidents but their resolve to fight injustice will be further strengthened, she said.

While TDP MLA attacks a government official in full public glare in a sand mining case, there would be no case, and in Nagari YSRCP leaders will be dragged into false cases even if they are not at scene of the purported offence.

The Municipal Commissioner, is neither qualified nor has a good track record. The entire staff has gone one three days leave in protest against his harassment and his character is well known in the area.

There was a scuffle earlier with him and he was in an inebriated condition and fell on his own. This is being projected as an attack on a government servant which is completely wrong, she said adding that they would fight it out for justice.
