YSRCP demands crop loss compensation

YSRCP on Saturday demanded that the the government take steps to provide crop loss compensation to the farmers.

Its MLAs said in the assembly that the farmers, who suffered heavy losses last year, could not get compensation till now.

In the last day of assembly session on Saturday, the YSRCP members demanded adjournment motion on paying compensation to the farmers who lost their crop last year and also for a discussion on input subsidy.

Rejecting the adjournment motion, the Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao began the question hour. Later, the speaker permitted the YSRCP members to mention the issue of compensation for farmers in the state.

YSRCP MLA Visweswara Reddy demanded payment of insurance to the farmers who suffered last year.
