YSRCP condemns attack on Roja

* Authorities stop airing of Sakshi TV

The attack on YSRCP Nagari MLA Roja by TDP men during the traditional Gangamma Jatara on Saturday evoked angry protests from party leaders and workers in Nagari.

Several YSRCP leaders including Roja, MP Vara Prasad, MLA Narayanaswamy, Amaranath Reddy and Bhumana Karunakar Reddy staged a demonstration at the police station to register their protest against the TDP men. The TDP leaders forcibly snatched the 'harathi plate' from the hands of the actor-turned-politician. In the melee, Roja suffered injuries on her wrist.
Condemning the highhanded behavior of the police, the YSRCP activists demanded action against the police.
While the YSRCP MLA was protesting against the attack, the authorities have stopped the airing of Sakshi TV programmes.
