I thank all the people who are showing affection for YSRCP and Jagan, said Y S Vijayamma addressing a mammoth gathering at Suryapeta on Sunday evening.

At the meeting Telugu Desam leader and former MLA Sankineni Venkateswara Rao formally joined the YSRCP. Vijayamma welcomed Venkateswara Rao into the YSRCP fold. YSR was not opposed separate Telangana and he treated all the regions equally, said Vijayamma.

She explained how YSR government worked for the people and how the present government was neglecting even the basic problems faced by all sections of the society. She hit out at the TDP chief N. Chandra Babu Naidu saying his government policies had led to maximum number of suicides.

Naidu had not visited the farmers who were killed in the police firing while protesting against the power hike during his regime. However, he chose to visit the policemen who opened fire at farmers. Stating that Naidu also filed cases against the farmers who were already in deep crisis at that time, Vijayamma said that present Kiran Kumar Reddy's government too was filing cases against the Communist party leaders.

She alleged that though the present government failed in all respects, the TDP is reluctant to move a no-confidence motion against the Congress Party rule.

Vijayamma in her speech reminded the peopleof the welfare schemes implemented by late YSR such as pension scheme and subsidy.

YSR had affection for the people of the state and implemented all the welfare schemes for their benefit. Now, his son Jagan Mohan Reddy too has great concern for the people. But he is in jail due to the conspiracy hatched by the TDP and Congress, she said.

"TDP MPs submitted a letter to Union minister P Chidambaram just a day before Jagan's bail petition was to come up for hearing in the Supreme Court. This was also followed by the ED attachment notices only four hours after the letter was submitted", she added.
