YSR's padayatra brought a political paradigm shift: YS Jagan

Late YS Rajasekhara Reddy's historic padayatra, the Praja Prasthanam, brought a political paradigm shift and helped the politics veer towards people's welfare, said YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.   Speaking at a meeting organised in the Lotus Pond office of the party to commemorate the 12th anniversary of the historic Praja Prasthanam, he said the padayatra was taken out under the scorching sun just to instill confidence in the farmers, who were committing suicides due to the faulty and anti-people policies of Chandrababu Government." It was the padayatra that gave solace in the people of the state. Later when he got into power, he ensured that that smiles were brought back onto the faces of the people. In the endeavor to provided shelter to everybody he had over 47 lakh houses constructed for the poor. The credit of giving pensions to 78 lakh people also goes to late YSR," he said. YSR's historic padayatra had unseated Chandrababu Naidu and ended the nine-year-long TDP rule.    "In his zeal to see every poor boy and girl educated, YSR started the fee re-embursmeant  scheme, His Arogya Sri has brought quality medicare to the doorstep of the common man," said YS Jagan. He also said that the people of state are wishing for such governance to be brought back into power and that everybody would work towards it.
