YSR Congress Will Play Major Role in Telangana: State President Srikanth Reddy

Hyderabad: YSR Congress Party Telangana State president Gattu Srikanth Reddy on Tuesday said the party will play a major role in the state in coming days.

Addressing a meeting of the Greater Hyderaband and Karim Nagar units of the party at Lotus Pond here, Srikanth Reddy said the party had narrowly missed the power in Andhra Pradesh and lost many seats in Telangana with narrow margins. “If we stand united and work with full energy, it is not impossible to achieve our goal,” he said.

Highlighting the consistent fight by the party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy against the anti-people policies of Chandrababu Naidu government in AP, Mr. Reddy called upon the cadres to take inspiration from the party chief and take up similar programs in Telangana.

Emphasizing the need for strengthening the party in Hyderabad, Mr. Reddy said in-charges for each of the 150 divisions in the city will be appointed soon. Preparations are going on to hold a massive public meeting at Nizam College grounds soon, he said.

Party national general secretary Nalla Suryaprakash, general secretary Jennareddy Mahender Reddy, Greater Hyderabad president Boddu Sainath Reddy, Karim Nagar unit president A. Kumar, Youth wing president Vellala Rammohan, Greater Women’s wing president Syamala and others participated.
