YS Jagan urges assistance for Hudhud affected people
A delegation led by YSR Congress Party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy met Union Home Minister Rajanth Singh in New Delhi on Sunday and submitted a memorandum, urging him to expedite relief and succour to the cyclone-affected people.
In a memorandum, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has explained in detail the magnitude of damage caused by the Hudhud Cyclone which left a trail of death and destruction behind and how the State has completely failed in addressing the issue.
"The State Government of that day has done very little to mitigate the problems faced by the people in the aftermath of those cyclones. Not even 10% of the affected farmers have received either the promised input subsidy or other relief or rehabilitation assistance. They did not even get loan reschedulements, let alone interest waivers," YS Jagan mentioned in the letter.
