YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday assured all support to those injured in the Heerakhand Express accident in Vizianagaram. He visited the Parvathipuram government hospital where dozens of injured are undergoing treatment. While consoling the victims of the accident, Jagan assured them all support in recovery and getting their ex-gratia.
Jagan later inspect the accident site. Expressing deep shock and dismay at the mishap and offered his condolences to the bereaved families.
At least 39 people died and nearly 100 were injured, some of them grievously, after the engine and nine coaches of the Jagdalpur-Bhubaneswar Hirakhand Express jumped off the tracks at Kurenu in Vizianagaram district late on Saturday night.
