YS Jagan speaks up for capital area farmers

Leader of the Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed strong resentment over setting fire to standing crops of farmers who have been strongly resisting any moves to pool their lands for setting up the AP capital, said YSRCP official spokesperson Ambati Ramababu.

Speaking to the media, Ambati said that YS Jagan spoke to the YSR Congress Farmers’ Rights Protection committee members on the incident.
He asked the committee members to visit the villages and take stock of the situation. He asked them to stand by the farmers.
It may be recalled here that the YSRCP had constituted a Farmers' Protection Committee to protect the interests of the farmers whose lands fall under the Andhra Pradesh's new capital area.
