YS Jagan's hunger strike enters second day

Hyderabad: YSR Congress Party chief and Leader of the Opposition Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has launched his 48-hour 'rythu deeksha' (hunger strike) over farmers' issues entered second day on Sunday.

Addressing a gathering of farmers and party workers on the occasion, the opposition leader from AP said he supports the farmers in the state, as they were cheated by the ruling TDP that gave false promises. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu had promised to waive loan for both farmers and DWACRA (Development of Women and Children in Rural Areas) groups though it was not feasible. But after coming to power in the state, Naidu has failed to fulfil his promises, the Leader of Opposition said.
