AP Leader of Opposition, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, slammed Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan for not doing anything over the last four years while being in alliance with the ruling TDP. The party chief also said that Chandrababu is trying to disrupt the efforts of YSR Congress Party, which has been the sole crusader of special category status for AP from 2014, the time that the undivided state was bifurcated.

While the YSR Congress Party has been enlightening the people by explaining the benefits of SCS, What did the Janasena chief do in these four years? YS Jagan questioned Pawan Kalyan on his long spells of silence.

YS Jagan also asserted that the YSRCP has organised many programmes and staged protests all over the state to create awareness among the people on Special status. He also questioned Pawan as what programmes he had organised to bring SCS to Andhra Pradesh.

Criticising the Jana chief YS Jagan said that Pawan Kalyan does only two things. He either takes to Twitter or arranges public meetings for backing Chandrababu's rule in AP. The YSRCP chief criticized Pawan Kalyan saying that to borrow an expression from film terminology, he has a style of maintaining a short movie runtime, followed by a long interval.

During the 2014 elections, Pawan Kalyan, who joined hands with Chandrababu and BJP requested the people to vote TDP to power. After four years, it has dawned on him that the ruling party has failed to deliver on all counts and he is now criticising the TDP rule and BJP, YS Jagan said. The YSRCP chief also wondered what Pawan Kalyan's reaction was to Arun Jaitley's announcement of a special package to AP instead of special category status.

YS Jagan also said that the YSRCP had remainedsteadfast in its fight for SCS to the state in these four years and is still fighting for it. The resignations of YSRCP MPs created history and is a clear reflection of the fact that the YSRCP will stand by the people. He also commended the YSRCP MPs for resigning their posts.

Chandrababu is embroiled in many cases and is therefore afraid of getting his MPs to resign, YS Jagan said.
