Leader of the Opposition in Andhra Pradesh Assembly and YSRCP President, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy took to the popular social media platform, Twitter, to condemn the lathi charge on anganwadi workers at Vizianagaram in strong terms.
Addressing Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Nara Chandrababu Naidu in his tweet, he questioned his duplicity of speaking of women's empowerment and "resorting to oppressive measures against them." He wondered if Chandrababu was ashamed of failing to provide enhanced wages to Anganwadi workers, as was done in Telangana. YS Jagan also pointed out that the Anganwadi workers in Vizianagaram were only fighting for their rights.
