Kadapa, YSR Congress party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday paid floral tribute to his father and late chief minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy on his 65th birth aniverssary at his "samadhi" Idupulapaya,Kadapa district.

YSR Congress Party honorary president Y S Vijayamma, daughter Sharmila, daughter-in-law Bharathi, YSR's brother Vivekananda Reddy and other leaders observed silence and paid rich tributes to YSR.

Thousands of followers also paid floral tributes along with YSR family and remembered him on his social welfare schemes and commitment to eradicate poverty from the undivided Andhra Pradesh state.

Jayanti observed across AP and Telangana

YSR Congress party leaders, activists and YSR fans observed the YSR Jayanti in several towns and villages across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Party cadres donated blood and distributed fruits to patients in hospitals besides garlanding YSR statues. At many places, people performed holy bath to the statues.

Party senior leader Dr. M.V. Myusura Reddy and other leaders and activists garlanded the YSR statue at party central office in Hyderabad. A blood donation camp was organized at the party office marking the occasion. Books were distributed to poor school children.

Reports said YSRCP leaders and activists, accompanied by people, paid floral tributes and donated blood in Karimnagar, Nalgonda, Khammam, Warangal, Nizambad and Medak districts in Telangana and Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Nellore, Prakasam, Guntur, Krishna, East and West Godavari, YSR and Chittor districts in AP.

Cong leaders remember YSR

APCC president Raghuveera Reddy and TPCC president Ponnala Lakshmaiah garlanded the YSR statue at Panjagutta circle in Hyderabad and remembered their association with YSR.
