Guntur: YSRCP president and Opposition Leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday lambasted the TDP government over gross misrule and ignoring the plight of villagers who are badly hit by floods. “Chandrababu Naidu is busy with his helicopter tours, but not at all interested in helping farmers,” he said during his visit to the rain affected fields in Reddygudem in Guntur and added that the development works in rural areas are also not progressing.
YS Jagan interacted with villagers of Anupalem as part of his district tour. On second day of the tour, YS Jagan visited Rajupalem mandal and met flood victims in ST colony in Anupalem.
Villagers have complained that no official visited them so far. Women briefed YS Jagan about their problems. YS Jagan said: “Though Panchayatis are sitting on enough funds, development works are not taking place. Some people are creating hurdles for development works. You should question the public representatives and government staff. Otherwise, they continue to ignore your problems.”
Before interacting with Anupalem people, YS Jagan visited agriculture fields that were damaged due to the heavy rains.
