YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy came down strongly on the TDP government for trying to whitewash the deaths of 20 dailywagers in the Gandepalli mishap. He demanded Rs 10 lakh ex-gratia to the kin of the victims.
Speaking after rushing to Rajahmundry to call on the victims and the injured, he said AP Genco and AP Genco contractors too were involved and the YSRCP would drag them to the court for the death of the innocent people.
A flyash laden truck overturned near Gandepalli on Monday morning killing 20 persons and injuring many others. YS Jagan said Chandrababu Naidu, who gave Rs 10 lakh to Pushkaram stampede victims, announced a pittance to the labourers. He said Rs 2 lakh announced by the Government was not enough. He said afraid of his visit, the TDP government had taken the bodies away.
