YS Jagan counters TDP innuendo on YSR

TDP members continued to provoke YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy by leveling personal and serious allegations against his father late Dr YSR on the floor of the assembly.

On Saturday, the third day of the winter session, TDP member Kuna Ravi Kumar made provocative remarks against YSR which led to an intense verbal duel between the members of the TDP and the YSRCP.
An unyielding YS Jagan countered the TDP members by saying during Chandrababu's nine-year rule, the state was struck by severe droughts. Soon after YSR came to power, he brought special packages to rescue the farmers, the YSRCP chief said.
YSR was the only leader who waived all the loans in the history of the state. YS Jagan also recalled that YSR had signed first file to clear electricity bills worth Rs 1150 crores. "It is better if the TDP members speak on the basis of fact," YS Jagan said while sharply reacting to the TDP leader's allegation.
Speaking on the 101 GO, YS Jagan said that the GO was illegal and immoral. The then Kiran Kumar Reddy's government had brought in the GO and the current government is implementing it, he said.
He strongly criticized Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for miserably failing to help the Hudhud victims. He asked where the government spent Rs.864 crores in the Hudhud affected areas. He alleged there were huge irregularities in supplying relief material to the Hudhud victims.
