YS Bharathi: We did not discuss politics

"We have to react when we have to react, said Jagan when asked why he didn't call off his hunger strike despite being critically ill," said Jagan's wife YS Bharathi to the media.

She got out of the NIMS hospital after the time granted by the court to be with Jagan was over.

Replying to a question, she said: "Yes. He called off the strike. He very much wanted to fast, but doctors forced him to give up."

Although police was willing to allow Vijayamma and kids near Jagan, Jagan asked his mother not to bring the kids because of the media presence. "Let them have their privacy," said Bharathi when reporters asked on why Jagan said that.

"My father is a doctor. Jagan's fast will have long term effects. He was saying that BP, sugar levels have dropped which is not a good sign," she said.
