Siruguppa (Bellari): In a heart-rending incident, a youth ferried his girlfriend's body on his bike to police station after she committed suicide quarreling with him. The incident occurred in Sirigeri village Siruguppa Taluk in Bellary district of Karnataka.

According to the police, Dhavalsaab (24) of the village had fallen in love with Chakali Hanumanthi(21) three years ago. Both had decided to marry after informing to their parents. However, after listening to his love story, Dhavalsaab's parents did not agree for their marriage and decided to marry him with another woman.

Learning that Dhavalsaab's parents have refused to the marriage proposal, Hunmanthi slipped into depression. She even tried to convince Dhavalsaab to marry her. However, he tried to avoid her after his parents warned him.

On Tuesday, he took her to the outskirts of the village and warned her not to insist on marrying him. Hanumanthi entered into an argument with him. He left the place telling he would return.

A dejected Humnanthi decided to end her life. By the time, he returned to see her, she committed suicide by hanging herself to a tree with her Dupatta. Later, Dhavalsaab took the body on his bike to police station and surrendered before the police.
