Warangal Boy Sharath Koppu Shot Dead in Kansas Restaurant Firing
Sharath Koppu, an Indian student who was studying at the University of Missouri in the US was shot dead after an unknown person opened fire at a restaurant. The 24-year-old student from Telangana belonged to Warangal.
Prelimnary reports indicate that Kansas City police who rushed to the restaurant on hearing the news of the shootout found Sharat lying motionless in a pool of blood.
Eyewitnesses recalled to have heard at least five bullet shots. The police is yet to arrest any suspect in the case.
Sharat Koppu, a resident of Kansas City had gone to Missouri to pursue higher studies. He was residing at 5303 Charlotte Street Apartment.
Koppu's friends informed his family back in India about sharath's untimely demise. The family is believed to have met Telangana DGP seeking action against the culprits.
The victim's father is said to be an employee of BSNL in Hyderabad.
